We are excited to announce our reopening into Phase 1.

We have begun Strength and conditioning training as of June 1st.

We will be starting jiu jitsu training Monday June 8th.

Phase 1 guidelines and requirements

Our onsite fitness classes will all be done individually (no partner drills) to maintain a minimum of 6 feet distance between participants. Classes require pre-registration. (Contact Jared to register)

All students will stick to their designated training areas during class and will avoid sharing equipment.

Jiu Jitsu classes will be done in small isolated groups for the time being. Each coach has picked 1 or 2 class times per week that they are leading. Each student will sign up with only 1 coach and will only be allowed to attend any of that coach’s classes. Each class will be limited to no more than 8 people (including the coach) Members who live together will be asked to sign up for the same training schedule as those they have been co-quarantined with. This is intended to allow us our own contact tracing system so that if anyone should contract COVID-19, we will be able to quarantine that individual group and not be required to close the entire gym again.

We understand this process of reopening may not leave you with the perfect or most desired training schedule or partners. We appreciate your efforts to adhere to these guidelines so that we can safely move to a more robust training schedule as soon as possible. Please remember that the time you sign up for will have a small group of people in it and if you are absent, it will be felt. If you commit to a time, please make every effort to stick to it (obvious exception if you have symptoms) so that each group can get the best training possible.

Only participating students and coaches will be allowed in the building (no visitors or spectators)

Before entering the training floor, all students and staff will be required to read and agree to health guidelines and sign a waiver addendum.

Hand sanitizer will be readily available in addition to hand washing.

All mat surfaces will be sanitized before and after every use, as will all fitness equipment.

All shared spaces and surfaces will be cleaned regularly to meet the guidelines outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.

Loaner gis will not be provided until further notice. Students MUST bring their own equipment and water bottles and must make sure to remove all their equipment from the facility after each class.

Phase 1 participation will be limited to adult active members and junior members who have approval to train with the adult class (with signed addendum from a guardian).

Only 8 students will be allowed at one time so all students will need to preregister for a specific class time with a specific partner group and instructor

Students will be expected to limit their exposure to risk. Students who are or have been training at other academies will be asked not to train at Next Level during Phase 1. Please show respect for your partner group by avoiding situations which may put you at risk for exposure to the degree it is reasonable.

During Phase 1 we will suspend free trial memberships.

If you have paused your membership, you will need to have it reinstated before beginning to train.

If you are ill or have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 (cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of sense of taste or smell), stay home, contact your healthcare provider and wait to return until you are symptom free (without the use of medication) for at least 72 hours.

If you have been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please contact your healthcare provider. Do not return to the academy until you have been approved by your healthcare provider and gym staff.

We will continue to offer online Strength and Conditioning classes at 6 pm every evening

If you feel under the weather, please take class from home.
